![]() Which creatures they send depends on which biome the player encounters them in. ![]() As their name suggests, Warpers will warp other creatures to fight for them. Warpers can be either passive or aggressive towards the player, depending on how badly they're infected by the Kharaa. Warper - Warpers are among the most bizarre creatures in the game, which is really saying something in the world of Subnautica. The creatures predominantly walk along the ground, though they can also crawl along cave walls and ceilings, as well as the player's vehicles and bases. Blood Crawlers inflict just 5 damage, but they often travel in groups, so this can quickly add up. Blood Crawler - Blood Crawlers are similar in appearance to Cave Crawlers, who most players will recognize as the infuriating creatures that jump up and attack them on land.Better yet, the creatures tend to travel alone, so players don't have to worry about being swarmed. Blighters inflict just 7 damage with their bite, which is their one and only attack. Blighter - Blighters are one of the smallest forms of aggressive creature in the game, and consequently don't do too much damage. The Perimeter Defense System doesn't affect them, so it's best to be safe and completely avoid them when traveling in one. Ampeels can also inflict a ton of damage to the Seamoth. Ampeels inflict 45 damage by biting and 15 by shocking these amounts can soon pile up, as the creatures sometimes travel in groups of two, three, or four. Moreover, they are easy to distinguish through sound, thanks to unique electrical noises that they emit when nearby. Ampeel - Ampeels are some of the easiest creatures to spot in Subnautica, as their bright prongs make them stand out through the dark Blood Kelp Trench like a lighthouse. Also, I found that equipping some good modules on the prawn like jet upgrade or the thermal reactor if you have it is a good idea, but carry some storage modules on hand and switch them out on your way back up. ![]() And really a prawn suit with storage modules it a better way to get through here. It does huge damage to the cyclops if you manage to get it through the lost river but I don't think it's a good idea. The things made with kyanite are very useful and the sea dragon isn't something you shouldn't worry about. None the less this biome is certainly not useless and should not be disregarded because of my input. So other than a few endgame upgrades, there just isn't anything to do here. Kyanite only has 6 crafts and sulfur has 3. The only resources here worth getting are crystalline sulfur and kyanite. But lava lizards have very low health and sea dragons don't see you very easily. ![]() There's alot of lava lizards and a few sea dragon leviathans. While most people might not agree on this, I don't find the lava zone to be that dangerous. The lost river has three ghost leviathan juveniles, and while they are still dangerous, They're all in very open rooms and aren't too much to worry about unless you're in the cyclops. (Both Cyclops depth mk2 and prawn mk1 need nickel, and prawn jet upgrade needs sulfur). They're both very useful they just have expensive crafts. While at first glance, they may seem useless. The only new resources are nickel, and crystalline sulfur. One thing you can find abundant here but may be safer to get in other places is deep shrooms and gel sacks. There's also pools of green acid that looks like smoke, stay away from that or you'll take massive damage. And cyclops can get trapped and killed by ghost leviathans too easily. (Depth module three goes up to 900m, lava zone is about 1,100m). I would suggest only taking the prawn suit here as the seamoth cant reach the lava zone. There's alot of story related rooms and this place is the only entrance to the lava zone. It's swarming with ghost leviathans and river prowlers and has lots of ruby, diamonds, crystalline sulfur, nickel, and other resource deposits for just about everything. The lost river is easily the largest biome in the game.
